Minister of Home Affairs Sheikh Imran Abdulla has said that vast rows of Police impacted by the influence extended on them.

The Minister said this while speaking at the event held, marking the 86th Anniversary of Maldives Police Service at Dharubaaruge last night. He noted that the government is currently directing efforts towards ensuring the the Police are rid of these attempts to exert influence over them.

As such, the Minister said that the government is attempting to strengthen the rows of Police. He also said that efforts are being directed to implement a professional standard within the ranks of officers.

Minister Imran Abdulla reiterated that the Police are preparing to move forward with a proper system to address complaints issues against police officers.
