Proposals submitted by interested parties for Hajj pilgrimage arrangements have been rejected, with applications reopened once again.

A statement issued by the Islamic Ministry noted that the proposals were rejected due to the failure to provide proper prices. It further added that the proposals failed to comply with the basic rules and regulations that were provided, hence they were all rejected since there was no grounds for a competitive bid due to the collective failures.

The Ministry noted that all 11 proposals had been since rejected, with all 11 companies being provided the opportunity to resubmit their proposals by April 13th.

The statement highlighted that to control prices this year, bids can only be submitted between MVR 75000 and MVR 95000.
