Myanmar Junta court wrapped up ousted civilian leader Aung San Suu Kyi's trial on Friday.

The Nobel Laureate has been sentenced to 33 years in prison. Suu Kyi was charged with corruption, illegally possessing walkie-talkies, and flouting Covid-19 restrictions.

She was found guilty on five counts of corruption related to hiring, purchase and maintaining a helicopter that caused a 'loss of the state' as per legal sources in Myanmar, AP reported.

Aung San Suu Kyi's trial lasted 18 months and she will serve 33 years in prison. Various rights groups have called the trials a sham.
