Ooredoo Maldives has donated essential health kits to health centers in three more islands, as part of its efforts to promote Good Health in line with its commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Under this campaign, Ooredoo has now donated essential health kits to 28 Health Centers. Health Centers that received the donation include all of the centers in Haa Alif and Haa Dhaal Atoll, Baa Atoll Kudarikilu Health Center, Kaafu Atoll Thulusdhoo Health Center, and Alif Dhaal Atoll Maamigili Health Center.

Following the donation, Ooredoo’s Chief Commercial Officer Hussain Niyaz said the company believes access to quality essential health care for each and everyone is extremely important.

“Understanding the need for updated digital essential equipment to Health Centers across the nation, it is our utmost delight to donate these kits and enable the Health Centers to provide quality healthcare to its people. We have now provided Health Kits to 28 Health Centers including all health Centers in HA. And HDh atoll. We are committed to continuing this initiative and providing the Health Kits to all Health Centers across the nation,” Niyaz said.

The donation was initiated earlier in 2022 as part of Ooredoo’s efforts to promote Good Health in line with its commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (“Global Goals”). The health kits include essential equipment, a Stethoscope, Digital Sphygmomanometer, Pulse Oximeter, Otoscope, Digital Thermometer, and a Nebulizer Machine.

The telecom company said they are committed to supporting and promoting health and wellness as its CSR focus for 2022, due to the amplified urgency and importance of maintaining good health and wellness post-pandemic.
