A Gaafaru boat suffered massive damages after running aground at F. Feeali reef.

Speaking to 'One', Feeali Council president Moosa Ahmed said the 89ft boat was carrying 10 tonnes of fish when it ran aground. He added that the boat had suffered massive damages.

Moosa added that the boat ran aground in the early morning hours, and two out of the 12 crew members suffered various injuries. He noted that some boats from Feeali were around the area and assisted the crew to safety.

MNDF's Central Area Command Third Squadron is working on getting the boat to safety.
