Another 419 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 419 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 156,871 with another 14,766 people still in treatment including 11 people in hospitals.

In the same time frame, 21 people tested positive in the Male' area along with 247 from the atolls, 28 from the resorts.

There have been 297 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives that includes 278 locals, 19 foreign nationals. Maldives reported its first COVID-19 related death on 29 April 2020 following the death of an 83-year-old woman.
