In a bid to revive the tourism industry, Thailand is moving to scrap the on-arrival Covid-19 test and brief quarantine for vaccinated travellers, Government officials said on Friday.
Travellers can perform antigen self-tests during their stay, instead of the 'Test & Go' scheme, where travellers must isolate in a hotel upon arrival to await results.
This new measure comes after the removal of the pre-departure test requirement last month.
Travellers are still, however, required to obtain online travel clearance prior to flying to Thailand. The 'Thailand Pass' requires proof of vaccination and insurance presented for clearance.
