Four people being treated at the Covid facility: HPA

Health Protection Agency (HPA) has revealed that four people are currently being treated at the Infectious Disease Management Center in Hulhumale.

The center is the second covid facility developed in Hulhumale.

Even though the spread of Covid has significantly slowed down in the Maldives, a total of 87 people were found positive between May 29th and June 4th. This includes 37 people from Male' City, 9 from the Atolls and 38 from resorts, industrial areas and liveaboards.

Commissioner of Quality Assurance at the Health Ministry, Thasleema Usman revealed that the patients being treated at the center are between the ages of 30 and 70.

Thasleema further added that none of the patients are critical and that they are doing okay. She also highlighted that Dharumavantha Hospital and the Covid Facility in Hulhumale does not have any covid patients at this time.

299 people have died of Covid-19 in the Maldives. This includes 280 Maldivians and 19 foreigners.
