Another 1,682 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the past 24 hours raising the total number of recoveries to 112,535.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 1,682 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 112,535 with another 17,777 people still in treatment including 49 people in hospitals.

In the same time frame, 1,203 people tested positive in the Male' area along with 788 from the atolls and 41 from the resorts.

There have been 274 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives that includes 256 locals, 18 foreign nationals. Maldives reported its first COVID-19 related death on 29 April 2020 following the death of an 83-year-old woman.
