Another 151 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the Maldives in the past 24 hours.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 151 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 90,776 with another 1,801 people still in treatment.

In the same time frame, 20 people tested positive in the Male' area along with 63 from the atolls and nine from the resorts.

There have been 256 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives that includes 239 locals, 17 foreign nationals. Maldives reported its first COVID-19 related death on 29 April 2020 following the death of an 83-year-old woman.
