Another 90 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the Maldives in the past 24 hours.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 90 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 90,003 with another 1,726 people still in treatment including 17 in hospitals.

In the same time frame, 19 people tested positive in the Male' area along with 71 from the atolls and ten from the resorts.

There have been 251 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives that includes 234 locals, 17 foreign nationals. Maldives reported its first COVID-19 related death on 29 April 2020 following the death of an 83-year-old woman.
