Another 122 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the Maldives in the past 24 hours.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 122 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 86,290 with another 1,968 people still in treatment. There are 25 people being treated at hospitals according to HPA.
In the same time frame, 18 people tested positive in the Male' area along with 103 from the atolls and eight from the resorts raising the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country to 88,516.
There has been 243 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives that includes 226 locals, 17 foreign nationals. Maldives reported its first COVID-19 related death on 29 April 2020 following the death of an 83-year-old woman.
