A COVID-19 patient in Male' City has passed away.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) that an 80-year-old COVID-19 local man being treated at the Hulhumale' Facility has passed away at 7:45 a.m. this morning.

As this most recent COVID-related death marks the seventh such death this month, the previous death was that of an 87-year-old man on Wednesday.

And so, the total number of COVID-19 related deaths in the country has reached 238 with 221 locals and 17 foreigners.

The highest number of COVID-related deaths so far was reported 25 May 2021 where 13 deaths were reported.
