Governing party of the coalition, MDP, has said that President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih's address at the first sitting of the parliament for the year showed the President's resolve in protecting the country and individual rights according to the party's vision.

In a press statement issued by MDP today, the party expressed gratitude and congratulated the president on the address that gave a voice to the people.

The party said that hopes of the public have been rejuvenated due to the policies announced by the President to achieve the goals in the MDP Manifesto.

President Solih announced the introduction of, income tax, minimum wage and unemployment benefits in his address at the parliament.
