Total number of COVID-19 recoveries in the country has risen to 83,809 with another 25 people recovered with 1,339 people still in treatment.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that there are 15 people being treated at hospitals.

They said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, a total of 46 people, seven people in Male' area along with 35 from the atolls and four from the resorts, tested positive today raising the total number of positive cases to 85,394.

There has been 233 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives that includes 216 locals, 17 foreign nationals. Maldives reported its first COVID-19 related death on 29 April 2020 following the death of an 83-year-old woman.
