The total number of COVID-19 related to the Maldives has risen to 232 after a 54-year-old COVID patient has passed away today.

One Online has learned that a 54-year-old Maldivian man who was being treated at the Hulhumalé Medical Facility has passed away today marking the first COVID related death this month.

With the COVID-related death today, the COVID death toll in the Maldives that consists of 215 locals and 17 foreigners.

The highest number of COVID deaths were reported in the country in May 2021 where 13 deaths were reported on the 25th alone. The first COVID-related death was reported on 29 April 2020 following the death of an 83-year-old woman.
