Another 170 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the Maldives raising the total recoveries to 81,404.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 170 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 81,404 with another 1,686 people still in treatment with 18 people being treated in hospitals, according to HPA.
In the same time frame, 37 people tested positive in the Male' area along with 37 from the atolls and nine from the resorts.
There has been 229 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives that includes 212 locals, 17 foreign nationals. Maldives reported its first COVID-19 related death on 29 April 2020 following the death of an 83-year-old woman.
