Another 180 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the Maldives.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 180 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 78,694 with another 1,607 people still in treatment with 11 people being treated at hospitals.
In the same time frame, 20 people tested positive in the Male' area along with 68 from the atolls and 15 from the resorts. And so the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country has risen to 80,539.
There has been 225 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives that includes 208 locals, 17 foreign nationals. Maldives reported its first COVID-19 related death on 29 April 2020 following the death of an 83-year-old woman.
