Monitoring status has been lifted from the islands Thoddoo and Rasdhoo in the Alifu Alifu Atoll.

Thoddoo was placed under monitoring on 24 May 2021. The island had been under monitoring on two different occasions before that. A total of 361 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Thoddoo.

Rasdhoo was placed under monitoring on 17 July 2021 and four people tested positive from the island.

With restrictions have been lifted from the monitoring status in Thoddoo and Rasdhoo, there are now 11 islands under monitoring in the Maldives. They are:

  • R. Dhuvaafaru
  • Sh. Fokaidhoo
  • Sh. Feevah
  • G. Dh. Nadella
  • Kulhudhuffushi City
  • K. Kaashidhoo
  • H.A. Dhigurah
  • H.A. Dhihdhoo
  • H.A. Thakandhoo
  • M. Kolhufushi
