The total number of COVID-19 recoveries to 71,877 after another 119 people recovers.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 119 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 71,877 with another 2,801 people still in treatment. There are 26 people being treated in hospitals.

In the same time frame, 25 people tested positive in the Male' area along with 20 from the atolls and ten people from the resorts.

There have been 213 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives that includes 196 locals, 16 foreign nationals. Maldives reported its first COVID-19 related death on 29 April 2020.
