The total number of COVID-19 recoveries in the country has risen to 70,490 after another 165 people have been confirmed as recovered today.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 165 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 70,490 with another 3,359 people still in treatment including 24 people in hospitals.
In the same time frame, 26 people tested positive in the Male' area along with 104 from the atolls and eight people from the resorts raising the total number of COVID-19 cases to 74,074.
There have been 212 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives that includes 195 locals, 17 foreign nationals. Maldives reported its first COVID-19 related death on 29 April 2020.
