The total number of COVID-19 related deaths in the country has risen to 210 after a 48-year-old man has passed away.

One Online has learned that the man passed away at 2:33 a.m. this morning while being treated at the Hulhumale' COVID-19 Facility. This is the first COVID-related death after hiatus of three days.

With this most recent death, a total of 193 locals and 17 foreigners have passed away due to COVID-19 in the Maldives.

So far, the highest number of COVID-19 related deaths in a single day has been on 25 May 2021 where the nation saw 13 deaths.

Maldives reported its first COVID-related death on 29 April 2020 following the death of an 83-year-old local woman.
