The total number of COVID-19 recoveries in the country has risen to 61,178 after an additional 964 people have recovered in the past 24 hours.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 964 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 65,178 with another 6.106 people still in treatment. There are 53people being treated at hospitals.

In the same time frame, 51 people tested positive in the Male' area along with 88 from the atolls, two people from the resorts and one person from a safari yacht.

There have been 203 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives that includes 188 locals, 15 foreign nationals. Maldives reported its first COVID-19 related death on 29 April 2020.
