The total number of COVID-19 related deaths in the country has risen to 203 after a COVID-19 patient being treated in Laamu Atoll has passed away.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that an 82-year-old local man being treated at the Laamu Atoll COVID Management Facility passed at away at 7:06 p.m. tonight.

The this most recent death, the COVID-19 death toll in the country has reach 203 with 188 locals and 15 foreigners.

Maldives reported its first COVID-related death on 29 April 2020 following the passing of an 83-year-old local woman.
