The total number of COVID-19 related deaths in the Maldives has risen to 190 following a reported COVID-related death today.

Today, a 77-year-old man passed away at the COVID Facility in Hulhumale'. After weeks of COVID-related deaths daily, yesterday had zero COVID-19 deaths.

The current COVID-19 death toll in the Maldives consists of 190 locals and 15 foreigners while the highest number of deaths were recorded on 25 May 2021 with 13 deaths.

Maldives reported its first COVID-related death on 29 April 2020 following the death of an 83-year-old local woman.
