Two more people have passed away due to COVID-19 after 12 a.m. last night raising the total number of COVID-19 related deaths in the country to 153.

One Online has learned that the two local men that passed away were of the ages 54 and 47 years being treated at the Hulhumale' Facility.

The 54-year-old man person passed away at 2:45 a.m. last night and the 47-year-old man passed away at 5:55 a.m. this morning.

May 2021 has had the highest number of COVID-related deaths in the country so far.

Maldives reported its first COVID-related death on 29 April 2020.
