The curfew time in Male' City has been extended from 4:00pm till 8:00am.
Speaking during a press conference at the HEOC, government spokesperson Mohamed Mabrook said that several restrictive measures are now being taken to curb the spread of Covid-19, including the extension of curfew timings. The new set of restrictions are effective from Wednesday, 26th May for a period of two weeks.
With the new movement restrictions, travel between Male', Hulhumale' and Villimale' is prohibited. For those who wish to go out between 8:00am and 4:00pm, a permit will be required. As such, only two permits will be issued for each household, with each permit having their own timeslot of validity.
For Permit Holder 1, they will be able to go out between 8:00am and 12:00pm while the second permit holder will be able to go out from 12:00pm till 4:00pm.
