Two more people have passed away due to COVID-19 today.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from these two most recent deaths, the first person passed away at 6:55 a.m. this morning. He was a 93-year-old local. A second man, aged 85, passed away at 7:44 a.m. both at the Hulhumale' Facility.

With these three most recent deaths, the total number of COVID-related deaths in the Maldives has risen to 134; that consists of 121 locals and 13 foreigners.

The country reported its first COVID-related death on 29 April 2020.
