Another person being treated for COVID-19 in the Maldives has passed away raising the total number of COVID-related deaths in the country to 125.

Heath Protection Agency (HPA) said that a 62-year-old local woman being treated at the Hulhumale' Facility passed away at 10:49 a.m. this morning.

A 66-year-old local man being treated in the same facility passed away earlier today.

This month marks the highest number of COVID-19 related deaths in the Maldives with 52 deaths.

The COVID-19 death toll on the country include 111 locals and 13 foreigners. Maldives reported its first COVID-related death on 29 April 2020 following the death of an 83-year-old woman.
