A second COVID-19 related death today has raised the total number of COVID-related deaths in the Maldives to 118.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that a 77-year-old local woman being treated at the Hulhumale' Facility passed away at 10:54 a.m. this morning marking it the second COVID-related death today.

A 77-year-old local man passed away at the same facility this at 4:06 a.m. this morning.

This month alone, 45 people have passed away so far due to complications with COVID-19.

So far, 103 locals and 18 foreigners have passed away due to COVID-19 in the country.
