The total number of COVID-19 recoveries has risen to 29,086 after another 237 people have recovered from the illness.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 237 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 29,086 with another 18,221 people still in treatment.
In the same time frame, 1,465 people have tested positive including 1,213 people in Male' area and 244 from the atolls. HPA did not clarify numbers in terms of locals and foreigners.
As per HPA, out of the 1,465 cases being reported today, 517 cases are positive cases from samples collected between 6pm of 17th May and 6pm of 18th May.
So far, there have been 105 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives that includes 94 locals, 11 foreign nationals.
