A young woman being treated for COVID-19 at the Hulhumale' Facility has passed away.

One Online has learned that a 30-year-old woman being treated at the Hulhumale'Facility passed away early this morning. This most recent COVID-related death raises the COVID-19 related deaths in the country to 96.

This month marks the highest number of COVID-19 related deaths on the country.

So far, the COVID-19 deaths in the country consists of 85 locals and 11 foreigners.

Maldives reported its first COVID-related death on 29 April 2020.
