The total number of COVID-19 recoveries has risen to 27,123 after another328 people have recovered from the illness.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 328 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 27,123 with another 12,873 people still in treatment.

In the same time frame, 1,572 people have tested positive including 1,315 people in Male' area and 242 from the atolls. HPA did not clarify numbers in terms of locals and foreigners.

As per HPA, out of the 1572 cases being reported today, 844 cases are positive cases from samples collected between 6pm of 11th May and 6pm of 12th May.

So far, there have been 87 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives that includes 76 locals, 11 foreign nationals.
