The total number of COVID-19 recoveries has risen to 26,299 after another 307 people have recovered from the illness.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 307 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 26,299 with another 9,423 people still in treatment.
In the same time frame, 1,091 people have tested positive including 933 people in Male' area and 6 from the resorts. HPA did not clarify numbers in terms of locals and foreigners.
HPA noted that of these, 300 cases fall under backlog which are samples collected more than 48 hrs ago, while 791 cases are positive cases from samples collected within the last 24hrs.
So far, there have been 84 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives that includes 73 locals, 11 foreign nationals.
