Another 107 people have recovered from COVID-19 in Maldives.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 107 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 25,782 with another 8,261 people still in treatment including 205 people in hospitals.
In the same time frame, a new record high for daily number of COVID-19 cases have been reported today in the Maldives with 766 cases today with a total number of cases at 34,134.
Today alone, 571 people in Male' area tested positive along with 171 cases from the atolls, 23 cases from the resorts and one person from an industrial island. Daily COVID cases have been above 300 since 23 April 2021. Numbers rose to 600s and they have been above 700 for the past three days.
So far, there have been 82 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives that includes 71 locals, 11 foreign nationals.
