The total number of COVID-19 recoveries has risen to 24,934 after another 159 people have recovered from the illness.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 159 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 24,934 with another 5,221 people still in treatment.

In the same time frame, 402 people have tested positive including 174 people in Male' area and 06 from the resorts. HPA did not clarify numbers in terms of locals and foreigners.

So far, there have been 74 COVID-related fatalities in the Maldives that includes 65 locals, eight Bangladeshi nationals and a man from Philippines and India.
