A foreign national has passed away due to COVID-19 related complications, raising the total COVID-deaths in the country to 73.

HPA revealed that tonight at 08:44 pm a 50-year-old Indian male admitted at DH11 has passed away.

This is the73rd COVID-19 death in the Maldives

With this, the total number of COVID deaths in the country is currently at 65 locals and eight foreigners that include nationals from Bangladeshi and Philippines as well as India.

The first reported COVID-19 death in the country was on 29 April 2020 after an 83-year-old woman passed away.
