Kaafu Atoll Thulusdhoo has been placed under monitoring after a person who consulted the island's Flu Clinic has tested positive for COVID-19.

President of the Thulusdhoo Island Council, Ahmed Anees told One Online today that the person who tested positive is over the age of 50 but is not being treated for a major chronic illnesses.

He further said that the person is a fisherman but has not been fishing since Ramadan began.

As COVID-19 cases in the country continue to rise, there are currently 23 islands under monitoring.
