Health Protection Agency (HPA) has lifted the vehicle ban in Male' City from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.
The ban has been in place since 12 February 2021 as a measure to slow the spread of CVID-19 in the country. It was lifted in a statement issued by the HPA signed b the Director General of Public Health, Maimoona Abubakur.
Despite the vehicle ban being lifted, the curfew in the Male' Area was still retained from 11 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.
The HPA statement also lifted the order to keep the public parks to be closed. However, other restrictions were retained such as gathering of more than five people, closing cinemas, running tracks and sporting arenas all remain closed.
