The total number of COVID-19 cases has risen to 21,382 after another 114 people tests positive for the illness.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 114 people have tested positive including 86 people from Male' area and 14 from the islands and 14 from the resorts.

In the same time frame, 85 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 18,780. There are 2,531 people still in treatment with 133 people being treated in hospitals.

So far, there have been 64 COVID-related fatalities in the Maldives that includes 57 locals, six Bangladeshi nationals and a man from Philippines.
