A Maldivian has passed away due to COVID-19 related complications, raising the total COVID-deaths in the country to 64.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that today at 06:09 pm, a 78-year-old Maldivian male admitted in DH11 has passed away.
This is the 64th COVID-19 death in the Maldives
With this, the total number of COVID deaths in the country is currently at 57 locals and seven foreigners that include nationals from Bangladeshi and Philippines.
The first reported COVID-19 death in the country was on 29 April 2020 after an 83-year-old woman passed away.
