Health Protection Agency (HPA) has revealed that the restrictive measures taken in the Greater Male' Area will be extended by 14 days.
A document signed by Director General of Public Health Maimoona Aboobakuru noted that since there is a Public Health Emergency in the country, under the powers vested in her by the Public Health Protection Act the restrictive measures for the Greater Male' Area announced earlier in the month will be extended for 14 days starting tomorrow.
As a restrictive measure to safeguard against COVID-19, vehicles have been banned from 6:00pm till 6:00am in Male' area alongside a curfew from 11:00pm till 4:30am.
In addition to this, tuition classes and pre-schools have been closed while all events, parties, and gatherings in Greater Malé Area are also to be halted.
