HEOC has announced that the COVID-19 vaccine will be provided by all hospitals in the Maldives starting tomorrow.

Speaking during the press conference by HEOC, Dr. Ahmed Faisal who represented the Technical Advisory Group said that all hospitals in the Maldives will begin covid vaccinations tomorrow.

Covid vaccinations in the Maldives began yesterday, with vacations taking place at five hospitals and social center in Male' alongside Addu City and Kulhudhuffushi.

Dr. Faisal said that only those who register at the portal will be inoculated. To control crowds, vaccinations will take place based on appointments.

While vaccinations are now ongoing in the Maldives, currently 'Covishield' developed by Oxford-AstraZeneca is being used. These were 100,000 doses that were donated by India.
