President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has decided to get the COVID-19 vaccine today.

He is set to get vaccinated at the special ceremony being held at the Male’ Social Center to launch COVID vaccinations in the Maldives.

One Online has learned that Speaker of the Parliament, former President Mohamed Nasheed and the Chief Justice, Muthasim Adnan will be receiving the vaccine as well while a number of state officials are attending the ceremony.

The vaccine being used in the Maldives is "Covishield" developed by Oxford-Astrazeneca.
