Minister of Tourism, Ali Waheed, has said ammendments need to be made to the laws and regulations to address tourist deaths.

Waheed made the statement following four separate incidences of tragic tourist-deaths in Maldives this past week.

A tweet sent by the Minister for Tourism reiterated that the current administration will do everything in its power to ensure protection and safety of tourists visiting Maldives.

Waheed has called for all the respective authorities to come together at this tragic time and to work together.

A resort woker in Jumeirah Vittaveli in Maldives had also passed away last night.
