The total number of COVID-19 recoveries has risen to 13,966 after another 50 people have recovered from the illness.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 50 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 13,966 with another 1,366 people still in treatment.

In the same time frame, 143 people have tested positive including 112 people in Male' area and 24 from the resorts. HPA did not clarify numbers in terms of locals and foreigners.

So far, there have been 51 COVID-related fatalities in the Maldives that includes 44 locals, six Bangladeshi nationals and a man from Philippines.
