The total number of COVID-19 recoveries has risen to 13,849 after another 36 people have recovered from the illness.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 36 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 13,849 with another 1,086 people still in treatment.

In the same time frame, 108 people have tested positive including 79 people in Male' area and 23 from the resorts. HPA did not clarify numbers in terms of locals and foreigners.

So far, there have been 51 COVID-related fatalities in the Maldives that includes 44 locals, six Bangladeshi nationals and a man from Philippines.
