A total of 65 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in he past 24 hours raising the total number of cases in the Maldives to 14,830.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 38 people tested positive from the Male’ area and 26 people tested positive from the resorts.

And 48 people have recovered from COVID in the same 24-hour time frame raising the total recoveries in the country to 13,731.

HPA said that there are 1,042 people are currently undergoing treatment with 69 people being treated at hospitals.

There have been 50 COVID-related deaths in the Maldives so far that consists of 43 locals, six Bangladeshi nationals and a Philippine national.
