MVR 90.32 million has been disbursed as the frontline allowance for workers on the frontlines of the COVID-19 battle.

The frontline allowance between MVR 200 to MVR 500 a day was announced on May 7th, 2020.

Statistics by the Finance Ministry show that a total of 10,180 workers have been given a total of MVR 90.32 million by January 5th. However, they did not reveal further details.

Frontline Allowance is given in three categories in the form of daily MVR 500 for those in the high risk category, daily MVR 250 for medium risk category and daily MVR 200 for those in the low risk category.
