The number of positive cases from the wedding cluster has risen to 78 as of now.

The wedding cluster emerged from a wedding held at SHE building last month. The HEOC has now confirmed that the total number of positive cases from the cluster is 78 with the addition of 6 new cases. There are over 200 known contacts from this cluster.

As per HEOC, attendees of the party included people with covid like symptoms, and by Sunday 41 people had tested positive.

The first positive case was reported on December 24th. Four patients among those positive are marked as high-risk.

HEOC urged those who had not been contacted as of yet to call 1676 and share as much information as possible, with the addition of home isolation as per their guidelines.

HPA appealed all attendees of such events to monitor their guidelines strictly including wearing masks and social distancing during the event.
